Turns out the West is wild. WE got our ears boxed in both Edmonton and Calgary but tonight it’s on to Vancouver and the Canucks for the 1st game of a weekend back-to-back set. The 2nd game of this B2B is tomorrow night against the Seattle Seahawks Kracken. The Canucks beat the Kracken 5-4 last night giving the previously “only team in the NHL without a win” a season record of 1-5-2. Not a great way to start.

Vancouver has given up the 2nd most golas in the league this season and Seattle the 3rd most. What we’re all hoping this translates to is that our beloved Pens can feed like starving hyenas on these next two opponents. Attack party READY!

The Canucks are currently ranked as the 31st team in the league. They have managed to score a somewhat mildly respectable 23 golas in 8 games but they have also managed to allow 34 against. In fairness to them they do have 7 players on IR and their #1 goalie “That-chair Dumb-co” is ranked 49th in the league .874/ 4.05 … so, there’s that.

Pettersson, Miller (DTD) and Horvat lead the Canucks in scorring. Erreybuddy else is meh and I don’t really care to mention any of them. All considered… I’m hoping that the Pens take this game seriously, especially after losing the last two, and put a MEGA WHOMPIN’ on this team tonight. Guess we’ll find out!
