Turns out 2024 was a wash. Losing to the Lead Wings left us with a .500 record to begin the New Year. Still in 4th place in the Metro, but only 1 point ahead of the “mighty” Blow Jagoffs and the Philth.
Jello-For-Christmas boys yinz can’t even ‘nut-up’ and knock off a plate of wings? No matter which stat you look at, this squad was miserable in 2024. The only ‘marginal’ uptake on them is that their power-play has improved, albeit only marginally, and that is running hot & cold as well. We’re still in a playoff spot but we’re looking at a -25 goal differential. With only 4 players in double digit goal scoaring and only 2 of them anywhere near 20 goals… I’m looking at you 87, 71, 58 and 65. I mean I can give 87 a pass leading the team with 41 total points but 71, 58 and 65 better get off their asses and start producing if we’re planning to be in the post-season mix. SWEET MOTHER OF PEARL!!!

This evening we’re visiting the FlaFal Pantserz who are currently tied with the Trono Leaves for 1st place in the Atlantic. They’re good. US, not so much… so, does that tell you anything? I’m not hoping for much from the Pens in this game, however the Pantserz are playing the 2nd of a B2B having hosted the Hairycranes last night. Maybe that will have worn them out just a lil bit, giving us more of a chance in this one. Additionally we’re getting Pettersson back tonight, however, we’re still starting Grizzledik on the top D pairing and LeBooBoo is still nursing that torn hangnail, or whatever… This Effen Team.
