GAMEDAY 8: Crying Rat Discovered in Florida

Tuesday was a spledid night for hockey in Pittsburgh! Milestone records were set. Old, young and new players all excelled. The Pens won convincingly 5-1 over the Vancooters! We’re now the 4th best team in the Conference and are holding down 3rd place in the Division. Not to mention, Nosferatu was awarded the Jack Adams trophy by Shlurpo. Pretty good start for a team who haven’t made the post-season in 3 years.

Sid Crosby, who scored in his third consecutive game, reached a total of 1,896 points (700 goals, 1,196 assists) in 1,539 games in the regular season and playoffs, passing some guy named ‘Mario’ (1,895 points; 766 goals, 1,129 assists in 1,022 games) for the most in Penguins history and seventh all-time.

Kristopher LeTang had two assists for Pittsburgh, becoming the 20th defenseman in NHL history with 600.

Justin Brazeau had a goal and two assists, Anthony “MOE” Mantha had a goal and an assist, and Arturs Silovs made 23 saves for the Penguins (5-2-0), who have now won three in a row.

Connor Dewar tied it 1-1 with his 2nd goal of the season, deflecting a point shot from Parker Wortherspoon and Tommy Novak gave the Penguins a 2-1 lead on a power play in the second period, which was also the GWG!

Quite the night for the… “WHO ARE THESE GUYS”

And even a bunch of drunk Steelers were there to celebrate the Pens victory.

Former Steelers defensive end Brett Keisel grabbed the mic and yelled, “It’s a hockey night,” then pointed the mic to Aaron Rodgers and company who finished the chant yelling, “in Pittsburgh!” Can Rodgers skate?

Tonight’s game in Florida will be a very good benchmark for this “New Look” Pens team and their “devilishly” handsome new Head Coach. The Panthers, who I assume you are aware, winners of the last two Stanley Cups, were on a 4 game losing streak before defeating the Bruins last night in Boston. It’s interesting to note that it was Brad Marchand’s first visit back to Boston in a Panther uniform and he of course did them proud by crying like a 6 year old during his welcoming ceremony. He was awarded with the First ‘Crybaby-Rat’ Star of the game. So happy for him… not, vomit.

He seems to have a history of not being able to control his emotions. At least this time he wasn’t tonguing erreybuddy in sight. What an asshat that guy is. Moving on…

Ex Penguin Evan Almighty will be on the ice tonight of course. He is currently 3rd in scoring on the team (4 points) behind Marchand (8 points) and Anton Lundell (6 points) which has been a big part of their problem over the last few games. The Panthers had only scored 4 goals during their recent 4 game losing streak. They have also given up a fek-ton of goals (18) in the past 5 games. So, maybe WE can jump these bastages with a few quick goals and get out of the Stupidest State with our 6th W of this early season.

DO IT!
