GAMEDAY 27: Let’s Make ’em see Stars

“On the first day of Hockey-Christmas my Penguins gave to me, a 4-3 VICTORY! La,la,la,”

The Pens played just well enough, very good through 2 periods, to outlast the Bay Frogs on Thursday night and earn a 2nd W in a row. The boys in Trono helped with the ‘hand-pass’ dissalowed gola which was a very nice stocking stuffer. My namesake, Mr. Machine-O was named 1st Star, Imama chopped down our Christmas ‘Douglas’ fir tree with his fists and even Jarry made the VERY good boy list. They are now 4-1 in their last 5 games. Look out for these boys once WE get completely healthy again!

Machine-O NOTES: Malkin scored his seventh career go-ahead goal in the final five minutes of regulation on Thursday night, tying Lemieux and Crosby for the most in Penguins history. … Malkin also tied Trottier for the 10th-most assists with a single franchise (853).

WE go to Dallas on the 2nd Night of Hockey-Christmas. Jason Robertson (5th leading scorer in the NHL) Miko Rantenen (7th leading scorer in the NHL) and Wyatt Johnston (top power-play goal scorer, 16 golas overall) are all having huge seasons. SO FEK THEM.

Even their goaltending has been ‘stellar’ so far this season. Yes it’s THAT Casey DeSmith … wuuuut?

These guys will be a very tough out and the Pens are going to be really tested in enemy territory. They’re going to have to be MUCH better on defence than they have been and Jarry will have to be even better than he was against Tampa the other night if they want to ruin the Star’s holiday. It’s a big ask but I’m thinking they’ll be naughty and steal this one out of Santa’s sack to bring home another ‘road-kill’ tied to the bumper of their sleigh!
