Another exciting evening was had by all, except for fans of the Minisoda Mild that is, as your “League Leading Pittsburgh Penguins” came from behing to defeat yet another ‘Baldy NHL HC’ by the score of 4-1. Ryan Shea and Bryan Rust (GWG) each had a goal and an assist, Jarry was great at stopping all but 1 shot and even LeTangaroo, with his 2 big juicy apples, played well enough to earn 1st Star.

The Pens cetermen won 32 of 51 face-offs (63%). The Penguins are now first in the NHL standings (minimum 10 games played) for the first time since Dec. 28, 2016, when they were 24-8-5 through 37 games. This Hawkey Night in Pittsburgh thing is FUN AGAIN!

Today WE visit the frozen wasteland which is Winnapeg. The Jets have a deep and talented forward group with players like Mark Scheifele, Kyle Connor, and new additions like Jonathan Toews and Gustav Nyquist although the later is a game time decision. The addition of veteran Jonathan Toews is expected to bring championship pedigree and leadership to the team. Because erreyone knows that ‘Toes’ is the greatest NHL leader of all time. Juat ask anybuddy who used to be involved with NBC’s NHL coverage team. Right Jeremy, Pee-Air??
The team’s biggest asset is their goalie Connor Hellebuyck, a former Hart and Vezina Trophy winner, who is backed by a defense that has consistently performed at a high level.
This afternoon’s matchup brings the number 1 and 2 teams together in a battle for SUPREME DOMINANCE IN THE HOCKEY UNIVERSE… only kidding, it’s just another game. But WE’RE WINNIN’ IT!

Win, lose or tie … the 2025 Penguins are a very good team and fun to watch again. This game will be a thorough test of the Pens defense and offense to see how they do against another team of great skill in both areas. Bring on the best, shite on the rest!
