WE took 5 out of a possible 6 points on our recent road trip against 3 tough squads in Filthy, Tampon and Dullass. Pretty dang good for a team missing 5 or 6 of it’s better players. WE’re now back on home Ice for the next 5 games.

Brazeau and Acciari returned to the lineup which was good. Malkin is still D2D which is not good but we don’t think it’s anything serious. Rackell, Hallander and St. Ivany should be back soon. Even Jarry seems to have got his swagger back. Our team is performing great and once WE get back to full health they could be a threat to REALLY DO STUFF. It’s actually fun to watch these Penguins once again!

These are not your Grandfather’s Ducks. In spite of now having a goalie on their roster called ‘Buteyes’… these Ducks have been a total lights-out-performance-machine this season. They’re currently leading the Pacific Division and are 2nd in the league in golas and only 8 behind the Avalanche. Not shabby! But they’re road record is shabby at 7-6-1, so there’s that!

Their top line of Kreider, Carlsson and Terry have a combined 36 G’s and 89 total points. Their 2nd line of Gautier, McTavish and Sennecke have combined for 32 G’s and 77 total points. Their only noticeable weak spot is their goaltending. They’ve given up 95 G’s so far this season, which is on the high side considering Husso’s only started 5 games for them since Dostal and Meazek were both knocked out of the lineup.

With Dostal and Mrazek both being injured, they’ve been forced to go with current San Diego Gulls starter Ville Husso as their go-to net minder. ‘ButtEyes’ is their Gulls minor league goalie prospect. Appropriate name for a “back-up” goalie.

He hasn’t yet started in an NHL game, so no significant NHL level stats on him. If he plays against us, he’ll prawlly win the Vezina in only one game, but my money is on Husso starting. The Pens are 1-2-1 all-time against Husso in goal so they better go to the net and PEPPER this guy if they want to win tonight. The best Defense is a great Offence.
