Yeah, so it turns out it was the ‘other guys’ who showed up on Saturday to lose in OT to the Senators… AGAIN. Jarry played pretty well, believe it or not, and without that this game would have been a blowout. The Sens were skating rings around the Pens and had many, better chances. It was a game the Pens kinda needed to win, in the sense that now we play a few really tough games before the Christmas break.

Tonight we get the “Hollywood Sovereigns” who are having a royally strong season to date. They are currently the number 4 team in the Western Conference and up until just recently were also leading the Pacific Division. Kopitar and Kempe are leading the team in points but they’ve lost a major chunk of production since their best blueliner, Doughty, went down with a wecked ankle and is currently listed on IR as month to month.

Maybe the Pens will be able to take advantage of the missing jewel in their crown, but at the same time we’re missing Pettersson for a few weeks as well. Not that Pedo is anywhere near the level of player Doughty is, however, he does eat a lot of minutes and now we’re relying on Grizeldick, Carl’sSon and Graves for defense and secondary scoring. In a word, HA!

Congratulations to Dem Stillerz for “acking bsswards” into the playoffs again this season. They’re going to have a couple of really tough games coming up. Hopefully they can get their shine back on for them.
