It’s been a exciting end of January. Devestaing ice blizzard over a good 2/3rds of the US. Rusty Balls has been ruled out for 3 games due to a complete idiot heading up NHL Player Safety. Patriots are back in the Super Bowl. What dafuq?

The good news is the Pens are 11-3 in their last 14 games and are in sole possession of 2nd place in the Metro. All 3 losses were by only 1 goal each. With a little more luck we would be undefeated in January. Much better than December’s collapse. Skoarers are skoaring, goalies are goalying, coaches are coaching, owners are … well who knows what’s up with them? The point is WE are doing great and errreybuddy who loves the Pens is happy with their performance these last few weeks. There are only 5 games left on the schedule before the Olyimpic break and WE need to win ALL of them. NO EXCUSES. DO IT!

Tonight for us the NHL has ordered up the ChickenHawks, WITH Bedard sauce. The last time we played them was the end of December. Bedard wasn’t playing, they had a krazy, stoopit lineup and WE walloped them 7-3. Just last night the Wild were able to beat the Hawks 4-3, but they took them to the shootout to get it done. WE can not sleep against this team like WE kinda did against Vangoober the other night. The Pens have had 3 days rest coming into this game so they should be ready.

It’s going to be interesting to see how Solovyou performs on the blueline as the ‘newest’ Penguin. The only down side as far as I can see is that Hayes is going to skate with Crosby and Rakell in Rust’s absence. Wouldn’t have been my first choice but I ain’t in a position to make those calls. Hopefully Hayes has enough energy to skate with them and simply park his big ole’ arse in front of the Chicago gola and let a few of Sid and Rik’s slappers bounce off of that butt and into Chicago’s net. Guess WE’ll find out.
