GAMEDAY 10 & 11 TWOFER: Two Bald Hates Are Better Than One

WE lost in an OT/SHOOTOUT to Comeblowus. WE got a loser point, but we should have won this one with all the close calls that took place at the Blue Jagauff goal line. WE had our chances… That’s all I want to say aboot that game.

Moving on…

Tonight… ST LOUIS: WE hate the Blues. Take my word for it, they suck and WE will beat them. The Blues rank 22nd in the NHL with 24 goals scored and have the second-fewest shots on their power play, which has only been converting at a 20% rate (19th in the league). They have repeatedly shown a pattern of collapsing late in games and have been unable to maintain leads, as demonstrated by their recent 7-4 loss to the Mammoth, after leading by four goals. They’re also giving up an average of 4.1 goals per game, ranking 26th in the league and resulting in a -9 goal differential (29th). They suck, they still have Sundqvist, WE win.

Tuesday night… PHILTHY: WE, of course, hate the PHILTH even more. I don’t have to convince anyone aboot that. Rick Tochett is their new HC and he has them off to a pretty good start this season, butt fek him, he’s once again the enemy. Their defense has tightened up, and the team has shown pretty strong goaltending, with Vladar and Ersson both performing well. Offensively, Owen Tippett is off to a hot start, and the team is seeing flashes of potential from players like Matvei Michkov and Travis Konecny. It’s been 18,417 days since the Philth have won the Cup.

PENGUIN NOTES:

WE’re defending “somewhat” more effectively and WE’re doing better at limiting odd-man rushes. WE rank 11th defensively among all NHL teams.

WE’re rolling four lines and have so far been successful with all of them contributing. Rakell being knocked out for the next 8 weeks will likely have a negative effect on our offensive production. Can’t wait to see who Nosferatu ‘raises from the crypt’ to replace him. WE currently rank third in the league in goals scored.

Our power play is converting on 26.3% of its chances, placing us sixth in the league.
