It has been a bit of a rollercoaster to kick off our 60th anniversary season. We surged out of the gate with a massive 7-0 statement win over Philly and an emotional overtime victory during our home opener against Montreal. However, that early momentum stalled out during a rough October road trip that saw us drop four straight and struggle defensively.

Desperation brought out our best, though—Artūrs Šilovs stepped up big with a stellar 26-save shutout against Florida to right the ship, and a thrilling, gritty overtime comeback victory against Nashville showed the heartbeat of this locker room.

This matchup is all about revenge and protection of our home ice. Just over a week ago, we wrapped up a grueling road trip in Salt Lake City where the Mammoth managed to stave off our late third-period push to hand us a tight 5-4 loss.

However, things are heavily tipping in our favor this time around. We are returning to Pittsburgh riding a high with a two-game winning streak, while boasting a dominant 4-1-0 record at home this season.
