Tonight the Penguins head to the heartland of the US for the start of a 3 game road trip. The dreaded “Road B2B” will be happening on Saturday and Sunday but tonight the boys are in Minnesota for our first forey of the season into the Wild.

The “Mild” couldn’t be more-so this season so far. With a record of 7-7-2 and scoring aboot as many golas 42, as they’ve allowed 46, they are sitting in the middle of the Western Division and could be ripe for a rippen. “Whale food” Kaprizov has had a fairly slow start this year but he’s the Mild’s leading scorer with 10 Genos and 8 Apples. After that there’s “Doormatts” Zuccarello with 6 Genos and 10 Apples … but that’s really aboot all the “dangerous O” they’ve got to speak of. Flower has just been placed on IR so there’s gonna prawlly be a Gustavsson in their gola with a W-L record of 1-3, GA of 2.81 & S% of .914.

On the PENS side of the ice sheet… sadly, we kinda suck this year, in case you’ve forgotten. Our Pens are solidy in the PENultimate slot in the Metro with a record of 6-7-3, with 56 golas for and 57 golas against and 2-6-2 in their last 10 games. One of the glaring issues (IMO) has been the first line. Sid -5, Snek -5, Rusty -9. All I can say here is DAFUQ? Sully needs to slap some daylight into these guys. I think tonight we’ll be seeing Rusty and Rakell switching spots on Sid and Geno’s line, respectively. They have to do something to try and spark this team back into domination mode and stop blowin’ smoke out their butts.
