It’s a very plesant suprise for me to type that the Pens are 2-0 and looking very impressive so far in the 2025-26 NHL season. If you add in the 5-2 record from the preseason … welp, it’s kind of difficult to believe. Including the last 5 preseason games, they have won 7 straight. WHO ARE THESE GUYS?

This season is turning into a very nice mix of old and young players all who seem hungry to prove they can actually hockey. Malkin is currently leading the leage in scoring and seems to have realized that he is in a contract year and the Pens have to decide to keep him … or not. Either way he wants to keep playing and he’s determined to stay in PGH and keep on hanging out with Crosby and LeTang. The new and young guys are performing exceptionally well also. Seems like erreybuddy wants to play with a GREAT Crosby and for a GOOD Head Coach. Go figure, eh?

Muse has impressed me with his decisions in the pre-season, the first two games and in his live interviews. He actually answers reporter’s questions with hockey words that make logical sense and have meaningful context. The communication alone is a SWEET blast of refreshing air compared to all the glowering, sulking gibberish from that other guy. I know erreybuddy was wanting these guys to tank so that they’ed have a better shot at selecting the next “McJeebus” in the upcoming draft, but if they can keep this focus and tenacity going and win their way into the playoffs… welp, I’m in. No garr-on-tee they end up with the #1 pick even if they’re the worst team in the league, so I’m more than happy to watch them play competively no matter where they finish. In hockey, as in life, you only get so many seasons… MAKE EVERY ONE COUNT!

Tonight, the Sully’ed Rags are in our house. WE need to fek them the fek right up. I can’t imagine how the homies will welcome Sully’s return but one way or the other, WE need to make sure his exit is with his ragass-tail between his legs.
