Wow! The Pens handed the Rangers their heads last night, eh? Way to tank boys! 6 points back of the final Wild Card spot with 7 games left. We get the Capitals on Thursday who are currently holding onto that final spot in a tie with the Red Wings who we will then play the following Thursday. Sprinkled in and around those two games we also get the Lightning, Leafs, Bruins, Preadators and then last but not least the Islanders. All of those teams are currently playoff teams with the one exception being the Islanders. As of today the Islanders are 2 points ahead of us in the race for the last spot in the Metro. If they could have won just half of the 19, 1 goal losses they have incurred this season so far they’d be locked into 3rd place in the division.

But hey… Sid tied Gretzky for the record of “1+ Points/Game” consecutive seasons. So … YEAH!
