Moving on. Next up in the dunk tank are the Canucks. Well, most of them are Canucks, 5 or more are ex-Penguins. One or two of them only as long as a year or so ago. Blueger, Lafferty and Cole will be in the lineup. Friedman and DeSmith probs not so much.

Vancouver is one of the most improved teams in the league this season and off to a great start. So it’ll feel that much better when we fuck them up. That top line of theirs is seriously shredding the league. LW Pettersson 20-G 33-A / C Miller 19-G 36-A / RW Boeser 25-G 19-A … jeebus. Throw in D Hughes 11-G 40-A … any ONE of those stat lines is a good year for any-one single NHL player and we havent even hit the halfway point in the season yet. Their top 4 point getters are over 200 combined points so far. The Pens top 4 haven’t even broken 150 total combined points. Jarry and/or Needles will have their work cut out for them tonight.

This game will say a lot about where this team stands right now. We usually perform well against the Western teams however, the Pens are only 5-4-1 in their last 10 games against Vancouver. The Pens have won 3 of the last 4 contests against the ‘Nucks going back to 2021 but this is 2024 and these aren’t yer Grandfather’s Canucks. The ‘Orcas’ have won 5 of their last 4 games outscoring opponents 25-13 and are currently on a 3 game win streak beating up on the Devils, Rangers and Islanders on this road trip. I’m hoping we catch them tired after having played 3 games in 5 days and most recently a B2B this past Monday and Tuesday in NY. A win could jump us up to 4th in the Metro, so, screw them… WE’re WINNIN
