This is my playthrough of Game 01 of the Pittsburgh Penguins 2016-17 season, on the road against the Washington Capitals, in a modified version of NHL ’94 for the Sega Genesis (using the Kega Fusion emulator).
The Penguins (I) lost to the Capitals 2-1. Conor Sheary was credited for the lone Penguins goal (which redirected into the Capitals goal off a pass from Braden Holtby), while Marcus Johansson and Justin Williams scored for the Capitals.
(Some notes: I would consider myself an intermediate NHL ’94 player. I don’t know most of the advanced skills many NHL ’94 players have, so I hope you’ll cut me some slack. That being said, this wasn’t my best game, but then as you’d see at the beginning of the video the Penguins are without Sidney Crosby to start the season, so I wasn’t as deadly as I could have been.
Also, this ROM is the most recent edit for NHL ’94, which was made in time for the playoffs last season, so many players (notably Brian Dumoulin) aren’t rated quite as well as they would be in a newer ROM. I’m looking forward to that ROM so any future videos will be as “accurate” as possible.)
Thanks for watching! See you for Game 02!
Celebrating the first regular season game against the Capitals, lets see what we can do with this guy:
Matt Niskanen
Submissions are being accepted NOW (post them in the comments or if you’re an editor you can just edit this post and put the submission here.) Submissions should stop before the game on Thursday
I’d prefer there to be no names on any of the shops or gifs, so there’s not voting bias
This makes submitting through comments kind of impossible. Don’t know what to do about that.
Literally anyone on the Capitals EXCEPT Ovechkin.
