Remember the 2014 Olympics after the U.S. lost to Canada, they came out against Finland the following game and it was brutally obvious that they weren’t prepared/ didn’t want to play. That’s pretty much what the Pens looked like last night.

This is my playthrough of Game 02 of the Pittsburgh Penguins 2016-17 season, at home against the Anaheim Ducks, in a modified version of NHL ’94 for the Sega Genesis (using the Kega Fusion emulator).
The Penguins (I) beat the Ducks 2-0. Marc-Andre Fleury had a quiet, seven save night in his first shutout of the “season,” and the Penguins got goals from Patric Hornqvist, shorthanded, and Evgeni Malkin.
(Some notes: I would consider myself an intermediate NHL ’94 player. I don’t know most of the advanced skills many NHL ’94 players have, so I hope you’ll cut me some slack. Also, this ROM is the most recent edit for NHL ’94, which was made in time for the playoffs last season, so many players (notably Brian Dumoulin) aren’t rated quite as well as they would be in a newer ROM. Additionally, the rosters aren’t accurate to this season, so (for example) Frederik Andersen is still the Ducks’ starting goalie. I’m looking forward to that ROM so any future videos will be as “accurate” as possible.)
Thanks for watching! See you for Game 03!
